My PS51F5500 lets me talk to it and it does things. sure its 4" smaller, but it was 1/3rd of the price. i find that the voice commands are slower than simply using the remote. in any case, that's a very nice tv.

ja, ruckus is the kind of thing you install in "setup and forget" installations where the owner is willing to pay the extra bucks for the peace of mind that it just works, always. also, pro-installers only, afaik, not the kind of thing us IT geeks who think they know everything can sommer DIY...

if LED floats your boat (i prefer plasma) and you're not into 3D, then that's the one to go for. Aquos panels has a reputation for being some of the best tech out there, so even at 25k for the 3D, that's an amazing deal. I'll believe it when i see it in a shop.

They have. fantastic display panels. They certainly do NOT fall into the OP's price limit of R20k.

usually a 12v trigger will connect a pre-amp to an amplifier, or several amplifiers. Sometimes you can daisy chain triggers between amps. What it basically does, is when you switch one device on (usually the pre-amp), a signal is sent via the trigger and all the other devices switch on as well...

Have you actually seen an F5500? Go look at one in a Dionwired or somewhere. See if the pentile is actually a visible factor when comparing it to other displays. It's one thing to read reviews and specs, another to see it in the "flesh".

true, though "not cheap" being a bit of an understatement.
