Cables- Is there a logical explanation ?

i've never had a problem with the fact that different cables may result in different sound. it's whether they sound "better" is subjective.

hmm, source resistor definitely cooked. i don't know about the mosfets, its a bit difficult to tell. i'm putting in an order with RS for new resistors, anything else worth replacing while i'm at it?

    Another F5/SRPP

naah, won't be cables. i might have toasted them while doing the biasing. i did cross the multimeter leads once by accident, which resulted in a spark and cost me another fuse. I'll pop into communica tomorrow, and replace all the CF resistors on the amp boards. Probably change over to metal...

resistors look a bit suspect. i measure 01R over the burnt looking one when off, 842ohm when on.

Not getting the Dolby TrueHD or DTS-HD sound options through PS3 sound output..

The "phat" model PS3 cannot bitstream lossless multichannel formats, ie Dolby TrueHD or DTS Master HD. You need to select LPCM. There will be no difference in sound quality, but your AVR will pick the audio up as PCM, and not the bitstreamed formats. This is old news for PS3 owners.

    Geco Pre/Velvet Power

The GA-5 remote from diyclub will also work, and at $44 is quite a bit cheaper. I paid $26 shipping for mine.

    HDMI Extenders

if you do put in a wireless extender, be sure to report back on how well it works. The main issue is that HDMI throughput is 1.4Gbps, which is why people recommend cable. Wireless extenders need to compress the data to be able to maintain throughput. So i'd love to know how well it works.

What model of AVR? WRAT is a onkyo feature, not a model number.

    Car radio recomendations

The easiest (and probably cheapest) way to do it is to have a parrot bluetooth kit installed, like the MKi9100. You can use someone like SMAC, then they can come out and fit on-site. The MKi9100 has a aux in, usb, and ipod fitting, and you use that to play tunes through your car stereo.

    Best graphics card for BF4

first thing to check with BF4 is how much RAM you have. Make sure it is at least 8GB, otherwise you will def have some lag. if that doesn't help, I don't think crossfire is the solution. rather upgrade the card a bit. it doesn't have to be a monster card, just something with a nice bit of DDR5...

    Another F5/SRPP

damn, it looks like something is actually seriously wrong. when i plug in the IEC, i can see a flash behind the spade lugs -  this is when the fuse goes (1.25A). on the last startup, i actually got smoke from the -V bias pot on my one amp board. :puke: just as an aside, ive installed a new...
