Anybody here got an itch to build a FirstWatt F5 amp?

hah!  :whistler: if you insist. i accidentally touched the one resistor with the MM test lead while trying to clamp the negative. moral of the story? i now leave the MM in place so i can see that the capacitance is drained before moving on to the bit of work.  :sulky:

the fact remains that a TV license is the most useful FICA document you can own, as it is valid for FICA verification for 12 months from issue, whereas any normal bill is only valid for 3 months after issue. that alone is probably probably worth the R250 odd bucks. The only thing i EVER watch...

What Av equipment for new cinema

R150k will go plenty far. you can do the whole hog, 3D projector, decent electronics, 7.2 speakers, acoustic treatment, etc. If you spend it right, R150k is a lot of moolah. remember, this is his budget just for AV equipment.

Hi, So i set up the OL Aurora MK1 TT i bought for my dad yesterday. Bit of a mission, but finally got everything screwed together the way the manual says it should go. The problem is that the sub-platter is not spinning freely. i've oiled the bearing, and the spindle seems fine, but it's like...
