Turntable setup help

Hi,

So i set up the OL Aurora MK1 TT i bought for my dad yesterday. Bit of a mission, but finally got everything screwed together the way the manual says it should go.

The problem is that the sub-platter is not spinning freely. i've oiled the bearing, and the spindle seems fine, but it's like it's catching somewhere, and grinding  :sweat:. This is even before i put the perspex platter on.

Any advice?  :walled:
