    Yulong DAC

The NAD is available locally at half the price of the Yulong.. But I have absolutely no idea what it offers in comparison.

    Yulong DAC

I have no regrets, build quality is excellent, I would have selected a better LCD though ,but then again it's a lot of bang for the RMB, that being said the only thing which may count against it in the long run is the perception associated with it being a Chinese brand but then I didn't buy it...

    Dam it getting cold

North of the boerewors curtain we're still enjoying moderate days and reasonable sunrise and sunsets... Oh the price to pay for a klip. :goofy:

    Home Theatre Ceiling Colour

I take it that's the standard plastic/nylon fibre, which they sell by the meter in Communica and Electronics 123?

    Projector Screen brands - SA

You could also look at Optoma screens, very well priced and by the sounds of things a rebranded Grandview at a better price.

    Curtain for window

Another solution which I opted for was to use thick upholstery material (your choice is endless), as well as block out with sufficient overlap all round the window. This will not only keep out the light but with a bit of luck even some radiation in the event of a nuclear fallout. You will have...

SOUNDS OF WOOD & STEEL, VOL. 3 - A Windham Hill Collection :groovy: The third volume of Sounds of Wood & Steel makes it a little less plain that these collections are as much a tribute to Taylor guitars as they are to acoustic music. But if excellent acoustic music played by stellar musicians...

    Wireless Stereo Receiver Recommendations

You could try the Harmon Kardon BTA-10, it retails for under a grand and is  readily available locally. http://www.harmankardon.com/stereo-accessories/BTA+10.html

    Room treated, pictures (don't laugh).

You're welcome just mind those little fingers, heavy doors are totally unforgiving. "Fire door" frames also usually have three hinges to carry the additional weight but I have had my ten ton Tessa mounted in a standard two hinge frame for the past 10 years already with absolutely no sagging...

    Room treated, pictures (don't laugh).

When you refer to solid door I presume you are referring to solid wood? Another option which I opted for is a fire door, they do however weigh about 50kg, which makes them a bit more tricky to install, but they seem to work a treat in my house and I can get away with a lot of noise in my cave...

    Slow curing epoxy???

Another option which you'll find in most reputable hobby shops is Gorilla glue-epoxy. Haven't tried it myself yet but it comes highly recommended. Both ZAP and Epidermix I would recommend without hesitation.

    FLAC

JRiver pretty much seems to be the ultimate one stop shop. I personally use it to not only play all my media but to rip FLAC files too, with that being said is there any overriding benefit to using an additional software tool like EAC as opposed to JRiver? Besides the fact that it's free...

    Yulong DAC

Done!  :flame: pulled the trigger on the Yulong, it's as well built as it looks and so far no buyers remorse, just can't get it to work with jriver on my old Lenovo T61 laptop running XP, but works just fine on my newer windows 7 machine, could be a computer hardware issue since the laptop is 8+...

    Yulong DAC

Thanks Chris will check out Computer Audiophile.  Doesn't seem like there's to many Yulong's around locally to test drive. Rudolf, I have heard the Schiit and can't fault it but since I was going anyway I figured I'd give it some consideration.. Maybe I should bring one back to put...
