I dug this one out at Muizenberg flea market today.....looked a little sad and it cost me R100 and another R140 for Urshie's jersey(bloody bribery).....anyway,i got it home and man did it smell awful,plugged it in but nothing.Fuse looked fine but it was not.Fitted a new one and we have life
Took her outside for a good clean and found the smell,dead mouse inside.(I am baffled as to how it got in,just no gaps big enough i would have thought.
She cleaned up beautifully but now i need to ask if anyone happens to have two Akai metal reels to maybe sell?I gave away all my tapes and nice reels yonks ago and would love to complete this.So little to zero info on this model,it has a mono valve amp which is removable like the m series.Maybe 1950's and def earlier than the m series with a single motor and some nec valves,maybe el84 not sure.
