personally as a rule of thumb always clean vinyl before playing as this will also prevent cleaning of needle at a later stage. not 100% but less often. get a carbon brush to remove the static from vinyl. always try to use the mechanisms to drop the needle so to speak as this prevents pitting on...

I recently had this convo with my cuz. she's adamant she wants a crossly as she doesnt want a hifi system. shes from the ipod generation and owns one of those plug in jobbies. bleh.

just recently got one and its very fast become the most listened to. I would like three copies to leave for my kids one day. my daughter who is the youngest at 9 is crazy about it.

the other problem i encountered with the Amy vinyl was that the center hole for the pic was sized smaller than the actual pin and couldnt rotate properly. I eventually opened it up a bit to spin more freely.
