I was at Musica in Canal Walk yesterday, and their vinyl selection has been expanded (probably tripled) from what I have seen there before.
Quite a good selection - 4 different Tom Waits albums! - and the prices are between R249 and R459. Compared to the prices I have just seen in Singapore (buying with ZAR, of course), these are definitely more affordable...
Unfortunately I had to rush out of there after hearing too much of how the salesmen are selling the Crossley's to the people queueing up! The last bit I heard: "This one is very loud, and quite clear-sounding - or at least, as clear as vinyl can be".
I came home and put a R20 SPCA find in perfect condition (Janis Ian) on my 34-year-old TEAC PX-300 and was happy... :groovy:
