Both Denon and Marantz make good AVR's. Very similar as they come from the same designers FAIK. Denon just appears to lead with all new formats on board at the moment. Onkyo is said to have reliability issues and Yamaha are a stable all on their own. So I am starting to favour Denon and Marantz...
