I agree with this, using a sealed enclosure may be best. However bass may be lacking a bit - not sure what you are expecting from these speakers. The drivers don't appear to be designed for lots of bass anyways - they won't go very low.

From what I recall, the baffle size and design will determine the low end extension. This is due to the wave "wrapping around" the baffle and causing cancellation. I've never taken a proper look into it, although one would require a far bigger baffle in order to get more low end extension...
