I have a pair of Bentley FS250's that I love to bits. Nothing wrong with them but taste does differ.

They are equipped with 2x SB17nrxc35-8 6.5" mid-woofer drivers per speaker. It makes for a smooth listen that goes with the higher mids and highs.
But here's my little thing: i owned Jamo d590's with 1 x down-firing 8" woofer each. Now hear me, 2x 6.5" is less than 1x 8".

I REALLY miss that bass. And it wasn't subwoofer bass. If I wanted that i'd buy it.

So looking at Seas 6.5" Excellence woofer drivers with approximate same specs for x-over purposes. But these go down to 30hz. And that is what I want.

So, the question: am i yanking my chain. Will they give me the bass I want? The intention is to replace one Sb driver with a seas driver and retain the one sb driver. My thinking is that I retain the smoothness but extend the bass down to 30hz and shake the sh!t out of my couch.

I'm driving the lot with Primare Pre32 and A32 power at >250watts rms per channel. Should be enough me thinks.

Thoughts?

I'd welcome any and all inputs. The seas drivers come at R7800 per driver so I dont want to screw this up...

Thx guys!!
