    Printing on Amp faceplate

Have you looked into flat bed digital printing, can print onto any flat surface, even glass with very good accuracy, expect it would cost about R350.

    Big deck

Good question, well the reason I have the tape deck is to sell it on behalf of a friend but perhaps I might sell it to myself ;D I have a enquiring mind and always up for a new experience and to learn something at the same time is always good. I feel it is definitely worth exploring this when I...

    Big deck

So went on a little tape hunt, found a really cool TDK MA-XG, looks like a serious tape, real solid and heavy build quality. Have not had a chance to hook up the player to test it out, will keep you all posted.

    Big deck

Thanks for the input, very interesting. What I don't quite understand ( please correct me if I am off key ) is that one needs to record material from another source, eg cd or record but what is the point when one can just play the record or cd. Don't think the quality is going to improve after...

This has got to be the biggest tape deck I have ever seen. Acquired a Nakamichi 700zxe cassette deck but no tapes. I know there is a big following and I am sure I will get to experience it as soon as I get some tapes. Looking for some advise on different tapes and setting options going forward...

    Members' Kit pics

Thanks Phase, unfortunately I have limited space so no room to move. Going to be moving the setup into another room which will give me a opportunity to move them forward but width is limited. Trying to post larger images.

Advice/guidance needed re speaker grille construction

Simple accurate option: Take a photo of the good cover straight on with your camera zoomed in to avoid distortion. Take measurements and trace it out on your PC and scale it according to your dimensions Send the design off to your local CNC chaps and cut from MDF, will last for years. Cover with...

Anyone in the mood for doing a budget AVForums OB speaker?

I really want to participate in this build, perhaps by the time it is finalised I would have built my Work shop shed. Moved from 3 garages to zero. :nutter:

    Vivid audio B1 colour

Black for me, just got that added elegance and the driver become the focal point, good contrast. One day I am going to get the opportunity to listen to a pair of Vivids. Enjoy.
