Don't want to speculate, though think the model 3002 power amp indeed has some potential. Just look at those response curves, extremely linear and flat basically through the entire 20Hz - 20kHz frequency spectrum, power Vs distortion too.

Just curious if can re-use, that's all.

Also self adhesive foam gasket tape (one simply cuts strip to size & peels the backing off) is available in various thicknesses and widths in rolls at your local hardware shop, cheap and simple - though other methods mentioned above would be far more ideal.

I know of a prestine pair 5km from my house. I would under no circumstances meddle with the cabinet construction. It will certainly influence the sound characteristics.(negatively) It has been house-tuned to perfection. 👌Just my 2 six-pence. 🙃
