Speaker Stand Fill Material

Hi guys.

I know sand is an often suggested fill material but are there any other suggestions that members have had good results with? Easily available in SA ?

One of the members recently posted about atabites, but that doesn't seem to be a easily available product . Google also pushes me towards rice and kitty litter.
