    Rega RB250 arm lift wear

The arm lift on my RB250 arm has some play which is understandable but it does seem to have gotten a bit worse over time to the point where the arm no longer gently touches down on the vinyl, its not exactly thudding down either but is coming down faster than I'd like, is this something that can...

Control kids who hog wifi bandwidth :)

All the TP-LINK routers have this option. In fact most wireless AP's on the market have some form of basic bandwidth control and QOS.

    Johannesburg Vinyl Fair

Agree, I would have thought the fact that its bringing business in to the venue as well as creating awareness for the venue (I hadn't heard of this venue until the faire) would be a draw card to the venue.

    Johannesburg Vinyl Fair

I got there a little after 11 and it was chaotic, it was a mission to try and get to look at the vinyl. Its a great little fair but I think its going to become more and more popular and eventually outgrow the current venue.

amplifier DC trigger for AC device

I use one of the 2 DC triggers on my amp to run a pair of 12v DC fans for cooling. Since these triggers can be controlled or activated based on the amp input I wondered if there was somehow a way for it to contol an AC device, what I'm thinking is when I switch the input to my turntable it would...

    Cleaning vinyl

Tried the vinegar clear but it didn't help, this is a particularly difficult LP though so I'll try it on something else and report back.

    Cleaning vinyl

Nice explanation and detail as always. I'm definitely going to try the vinegar treatment, I've got a Fleetwood Mac LP that I bought from Recordmad a while back, on face value it seems in excellent condition (both cover and LP) but alas it suffers from this damn crackle, I've tried multiple...

WhatsApp finally available on your PC / Browser

There were a few ways to run it, Android Emulators, MyPhoneExplorer etc... but they were all a hack and not without their flaws. This is the first sort of official release from Whatsapp and its lightweight, quick and works nicely.

WhatsApp finally available on your PC / Browser

An update sent out by Whatsapp is required to facilitate this. The Chrome portal is handled by the WhatsApp domain. The information about this feature was on their official blog. Seems pretty legit to me since they're controlling the whole thing. It's also not a standalone app installed on...

    help with dyndns

In this instance I'm pretty sure its port forwarding like IVMan posted earlier, on the TP-LINK, port forward connections on the public (3G) IP address to a local LAN IP and port number, so for example, from 196.123.123.123:80 to 192.168.0.123:80

    Browsers

Install and run Malwarebytes (www.malwarebytes.org), also make sure you have anti virus and that its up to date, I'd run a full scan here too. Also, like Chris pointed out, sort your installed programs by date and look out for programs that you didn't install. Sounds like a browser hijack which...
