I have finally sourced a Denon X4200 at a ridiculous price. I now intend hooking up my Rotel 1075 on the pre outs of this receiver.  If I dont hear a noticeable difference then I am most probably going to sell the Rotel. Anyho, I have monitor audio bronze 6s and I am thinking of upgrading that...

That's going to be like 60k - 70k on a high end AVR.  Not willing to drop that type of money on an audio system.  On my house - yes  :D

Nothing on Zone 2 at all. I bi amped 4 channels to the towers however I only had one set of interconnects to test.  Something should have played but there was only the silence  :-\ Tried all settings on the AVR as well.

Didn't work out - an upgrade will definitely be needed. If I get around R9000 for the 2200 then I will go for the 3200 which does have the pre outs.  Problem is the 50 post thing which does not allow me to post for sale items on here.  I have been a member of this forum for more than a year and...

For the price that one would pay for these you wouldnt expect those types of issues.  For me, never on my purchase list.

I am very inclined to either Denon or Marantz.  Maybe the SR5011.  Just like the overall look of the Marantz. There is a brand new SR5011 going for R13k
