Hi all,
I currently have the Denon X2200 driving my towers which are bi amped. The rating on the AVR is 95w per channel @ 8ohm. The speakers are rated for 150wrms
I cant help but think that I am not experiencing the true ability of these speakers.
I am therefore looking to either:-
> Buy a stereo amp and run this through the AVR on bypass or
> Buy a higher powered AVR
My system is 95% used on stereo but I like the versatility of having the surround ability.
My question is how do I go about matching the AVR/AMP wattage to the speakers or does one simple aim for wattage on the amp/AVR that is close to peak power handling?
Also, some recommendations on the amp. I am set on Marantz if I go upgraded AVR.
