As you are at the very least cable agnostic so probably happy with a half decent mic cable, a simple way would be an rca to XLR cable inside which you join pin 1 and 3.  No need to mod the amp.

Bridge out on the molex connector with a small link and run one ground conductor to the RCA. 

Depends on the dac susceptibility and the difference in ?performance level? of the transport.

Had a similar experience.  Think they duffed the shipping Calc then tied to get me to accept post.  When I didn?t want to suddenly there was no stock.  Took 6 weeks for refund.

To me the differences are quite audible, even on modest equipment but keep in mind thats not what you are listening to via the youtube links. One must not ignore the youtube and recording interfaces and playback chain. Depending on where one listens, maybe playback  resolution is even different...

My Mac  guy said back up drive 2x size of computer drive.  Assuming you mean auto back ups from Mac. 

I was sceptical but they seem reliable.  The Hyundai of capacitors.  Was felt to be cheap and proved to be well priced and reliable. 

Less tempting than the CCK and a dac but even so I want arm chair control. 

Look for the Fremer rega factory visit. They show tiny ?plumb bobs? they use to test and I think they mention it?s weight.  Funnily.  The just produced arm seems to fail the test.
