Thanks for the reply. I did try a pair of the original LS50 3 years ago partnered with the Marantz PM14 S1SE amp. The amp felt underpowered with the KEF’s despite having double the power of the PM6007. The Marantz PM6007 matches the speakers well.

Anyone know which way around the Transprent Audio RCA cables should be fitted between the source and the amplifier? Should the Network box be closer to the source or the amplifier? Can’t find anything online about this.

I listened to the Kef R3 first with my Marantz PM14 S1 SE and then the Peachtree Nova 300. The Peachtree had the edge by a slight margin but it’s 300w versus the Marantz’s 90w. The R3’s sounded very nice with the Peachtree and the Blue Node streaming Tidal.

Does anyone else have the Marantz PM14 S1 SE and if so, what speakers are they paired with? The amp does okay with my BW803 Nautilus MKI but just interested to know if anyone else is getting good results with other speakers.

Wurth products are not cheap but in this case, I am prepared to pay the price as it does exactly what it says on the can.

I bought this contact cleaner to remove oxidation on gold plated audio connectors. Works extremely well. Removes dull tarnish instantly. Cost R215-00 at a Wurth store in Pinetown, Durban.

Just an update. The Marantz won't play the m4a file from iTunes. If I take the iTunes m4a file and convert it through MediaHuman software to m4a, then it plays on the Marantz. My work around is to use iTunes to create WAV versions of the music I want to play via USB.

Tried DB Poweramp and it outputs AAC as 4ma.
