Audio cassettes Erasing, FF/FR , Conversion to MP3 procedure or eqipment

You would need a dedicated 2 channel USB audio interface. Focusrite, Presonus, Behringer etc are far better than a 3.5mm audio input on a PC. They have variable mic/line inputs, outputs to an amp or active speakers and a headphone jack. Plug and play with most DAW's or recording software.

1000w Car Amplifiers vs 1000W Home Amplifiers

Rockford are still a high end car audio manufacturer. I've had their amps in my cars for decades. Each amp comes with a " Birth Certificate " which has the actual specs and date of manufacture of your amp. The RMS output per channel is at least 10 to 15% higher than rated. It's expensive, which...

    Sony Audio Catalog 1980s

Thank you. I was a serious brochure collector as a kid. I still have the Sony Betahifi Betamax machine and the all band portable radio from that era

NAD 5420 CD player - dysfunctional LCD display

AFAIK, they have backlit LCD displays and it's just the bulb that's blown. You can check by shining a torch on the display to see if it's still working.

Replacement amp for home theatre system

Personally I would rather just get a cheap second hand active sub. The old Sony's and Wharfedales will sound far better than Mgongo subs which TBH, are really bad. I have a Sony which literally hasn't missed a beat in over 10 years and have no reason to ever replace it. It sounds really good and...

    Microphone Collectors on Forum

Thanks. I have 3 already in daily use. Most probably close to 10 years old and still all of them in decent shape. Good luck with your sale.

    Small Amplifiers for Floorstanding Speakers

Have a look at the Emotiva I'm selling. Way better than those small Chinese amps and under your budget.

How many of you like the sound system in your car?

Since I was 18, the first thing I did was to install good sound into my car. I'm 57 now, and I still do it ! I remember my dad getting his company BM 318 in the 80's and it had a CONCORD HPL101 radio installed. This was next level compared to all the Blaupunkts and other average stuff on the...

Anyone in the car audio business ?

Thanks. I do have the wiring diagram for the 20 pin, but even tapping into the so called correct pins, I'm still having no luck. I installed a Sony in my Honda recently, and everything just worked. It could be an Alpine / Subaru issue IMO.

Anyone in the car audio business ?

Hi. I'm doing a full install, but my problem has been finding the correct interface for the steering controls. CONNECTS 2 don't have a version for my vehicle. I was kindly lent the universal interface to test today, and had no luck with it either. Basically I'm trying to find another brand that...

Anyone in the car audio business ?

Hi. Hi. It's a Subaru Forester S Edition. 2013. Radio being installed is an Alpine 705D. I have a Connect 2 for later model Subaru's , but only 2 of the steering controls seem to function. I've just managed to borrow a universal one, so will try it tonight. Thanks

Anyone in the car audio business ?

Hi All. I'm busy with a full audio install in my Forester and I'm really struggling to find the correct interface for the steering controls. I've managed to find the diagram for the OEM radio and I've done a basic tie in just so I can get the reverse camera working, but I'm not having any luck...

    Why digitise vinyl?

24 bit 96K is a complete waste of data. There is absolutely no advantage of recording higher than 48K for LP's limited dynamic range and frequency response. You could even use 16 bit instead of 24.

    Advice for replacement receiver

I have had a NAD 748T for years , and honestly if it blew up, I'd just buy another one. My HT requirements are similar to yours.

    Citroen C2 VTR Value.

The car had been sold to a person in our housing estate. There was a mix of pros and cons on this one. Mileage ridiculously low and car in almost new condition, but its a Citroen. Nobody really wants one, and it's green. Their asking price was high, and they got an offer surprising close to it...
