What a waste of a day's leave that must have been for most of the people that went.  I don't think I'll be going near there for at least two months.

Set and forget is meant to be the way, however every month or so I get the feeling that I can improve it and end up playing around making little to no change.

You should be fine.  In domestic applications the only time that there will be any difference is with lightning.

Lately Denon have been offering the best bang for your buck IMO.  I've been swayed recently as I'm also in the market for an upgrade.

I'm also struggling a little on the price.  Was so excited but now that's turned to disappointment.  Still looks like a nice piece of kit though.

I have been thoroughly impressed with Panasonic's offerings.  Just a shame that their presence has diminished so much of late.

Well done in trying to make sure they stay in circulation.  I recently saw someone chucking out a huge box at the local rubbish dump, had a look and they were in reasonable condition, just not to my taste so not worth me rescuing from there.

Firmware is up to date, ver.1028.0, however this was released in May 2013 so almost two years ago. And thankfully the cleaning has helped.  Works a charm now, hopefully good to go for another few years.

So I'm having a little trouble with my ages old Blu-Ray player.  It's a Samsung BD-C5500 and I've recently tried to get myself in on a Harry Potter marathon but alas, about just under 2 hours in to any of the movies it freezes and I can hear the sound of the laser moving around, similar to when...
