Got home from work on Thursday and after a good scrub made a cuppa, got to lounge, switched on everything and the power LED on my amp is blinking... googled and went through unplugging process and still blinking... after 9 years my Yamaha A-S501's gave me the finger
Got on the chat group with the guys... @Andre Vermeulen gave some contact details and I dropped it in Rondebosch this morning waiting MRI scan/results
Anyhow.... This had me thinking its most probably a good time/excuse for an upgrade
The SMSL SU-9 DAC I have can function as pre-amp as well...
The SU-9 outputs 5.3v balanced, and 2.0v over RCA... This is a factor I'm mulling over cos how to drive the 2x subwoofers should I go power amp? Use the XLR's to power amp to drive the main speakers and RCA's to subs as the SMSL SU9 can run both outputs simultaneously...
So should I decide to sell the Yamaha when its fixed and go power amp?
