Morning fellow sound nerds,

Interesting development on the car noise side, I managed to explode a battery the other day (big 90amp hour deep cycle jobbie) as it had totally run down completely, re-charged and then when I tried starting the car it literally exploded. The surge was so strong that it completely fried a 100amp fuse (most basic Arc welders use less then 100 amps!) and my pre-amp / processor.

Moral of the story, if you totally drain a battery, trickle charge it back to life (not in the car, but on a decent trickle charger) and take it to a battery test centre first to check it's not dead. Second moral of the story, make sure you actually use your fuses! Mine just saved me a very expensive amp replacement!

Now... time to shop for a new pre/processor :) Any suggestions my fellow car sound nerds?
