I got these drivers for a decent price and wanted to experiment a bit. I must say, I am thoroughly impressed - they sound a lot better than I had anticipated.
I started loosely based on the Fat Thor and after simulation in hornresp, it became clear that you cannot just scale the design to 1 driver. I also anticipated that the woofer and tweeter won't work well together - the tweeter does not like going low, and the woofer; well lets just say it's magnesium... So I tested that theory in a vented box and then proceeded to order the midrange domes.
Currently crossed at 1200 Hz and 3200 Hz with brutefir. F3 is at around 33 Hz. (Excursion is fine for listening levels I am comfortable at.)
