I have been on a look out for a 3d Tv for a while now..I have looked at the follwoing brands Sony,LG and Samsung. For some reason I noticed that the 3d tech demos I had seen for sony and samung seemed liked the 3d was not coming out rather looked like they where starting on the edge of the screen going inwards unlike in the cinema where the 3d pops out of the screen. These where mainily active type glasses I was using. Most of the demos I had seen for these Tv's where @ gaming and av expo's...

Now I recently went to Cats Digital and looked at the LG-47LW6510 3D demo and I was just blown away. it was a passive 'cinema 3d' set and the 3d really popped out. I went to hifi corp and found the same set type without the smart tv features at a lower price..the demo was not impressive but the sales guy told me that my viewing angle( Height) was not right so I would need to sit down.

Okay I then went to Dion to look at they 3d tv prices only be be totally dissapointed by the 3d..I looked at the Lg 55 Inch passive 'cinema 3d' and for some reason the 3d effect looked like it started from the edge of the screen going in...nothing popped out. The slaes guy tried all the setting..depth e.t.c but the 3d was just not on point...I mean it was the same Lg demo playing( Features ballons and a guy playing tennis) - Now I am left wondering are the 'cinema 3d' tvs not meant to have the same 3d effect. how can the be such a difference and could it be just some setting - has anyone experienced 3d on the other sets and does it pop out?
