Recently, I was lucky enough to find a Pioneer SX-626 receiver (circa 1971).
Even though the seller claimed it being in mint condition, I took it to Basil Titus (Westech Audio) to have it evaluated. I haven't seen the complete service record, but I know he did a seriously impressive refurbishment.
In addition, I was privileged enough to get a pair of KEF C75 Loudspeakers (1988-91) from a good friend of mine before she left the country (for free  !!. All drivers work 100% and the enclosures are cosmetically sound, with only not-so-noticeable veneer chips on the foot ends.
Today I hooked up the KEF's and my REGA P2 turntable to the Pioneer, and WOW, the kit sounds pristine! I was blown away :groovy:! Even the colours of the kit is a perfect match.
I just wanted to share a few pics with everyone..
