So my house is pretty much a huge gear hoarding station, and I've been getting quite a bit of flack around the whole WAF business.

This leads me to wanting to sell up everything audio related and start over with a very different approach. I've been instructed to have no speaker cables visible, "Or else." Another thing which has been "suggested" is that I need to keep everything looking the same otherwise her interior decorating ends up a <insert your selection of bad words here> mess...

1- HT system of smaller satellites and maybe a sub, but I doubt it's necessary. I was thinking of buying a Boston Acoustics Soundware setup and trying it, if it doesn't work I can always move that into the bedroom or the bar area.
2- Something in the bar area. Dunno yet, apparently we need a TV in there as well, as if we don't have enough already.
3- Something outside by the braai/patio area. Lots of outdoor options these days, and I'm getting tired of people turning it up to stupid levels inside so they can listen outside. Perhaps the bar setup will mean it's not necessary, so again some testing is involved.
4- Kitchen because we seem to spend quite a bit of time in there. The TV in there at the moment I think has something wrong because the audio is terrible.
5- Bedroom I'd like to have a small 5.1 setup as well.
6- My study will be stereo only, and I'm in 2 minds to keep what I currently have because I could break windows quite easily with that and it sounds good... Really good.

The new lounge or a replacement study for me upstairs is on the cards, just waiting for plans and how poor it's going to make me and then I'll decide to do that or if we're going to move elsewhere instead.

Either way I'm probably going to start flooding the classifieds soon.

Advice, suggestions, etc etc.
