Not exactly a pure "Alternative Power" issue, but I reckon the folks who know are to be found here.
My cousin wants me to connect a surge protector onto her DB. Apparently it's an insurance requirement. I had a look, and now have a doubt. The DB is full to capacity, so anything additional will have to be mounted in a new enclosure. The thing is that the solitary surge protector will then be up to 40cm away from the circuit breakers in the main DB. Is this alllowed? If so, what are the conditions? A friend suggested taking out some 6mm cables. Will that suffice?
