Hi all,
I have a recently acquired a NAD 3020 Series 20 in very good condition.
Currently, I have 2 of my NAD PSB 810 bookshelf speakers connected to it, which is part of a 5.1 set (came with a NAD T743, which is in for repairs).
I'm using them on my desktop (large desk) playing from the PC into Audient iD4 interface into 3020 (I also record bass guitar, but mostly use headphones)
What would the veterans suggest without breaking the bank? (budget is currently R2 000 + sales cash if I sell the T743)
I want to keep the 3020, so I'm thinking of either:
1) waiting for the T743 to come back and use the 3020 as a preamp while playing through the 5.1 set in stereo mode for music (5.1 for movies), while utilizing the woofer; or
2) selling the T743+speakers and get better stereo speakers with the money from the sale.
I can acquire a pair of excellent looking AR25's or B&W DM110i's now for R1 600 or R1 900 respectively (as reference point - I've heard both of these pair well with a NAD 3020 and have physically heard how good AR18s sound on it)
