Greetings all
Has anyone had experience installing multiple Exploras, in particular the configuration of the 5-2 DSTV switch? I have to replace 2 PVR-1s with 4 Exploras, and space is an issue (those Exploras ain't exactly tiny...).
I have a 4-way (quad) LNB. Is it possible/feasible/advisable to run 2 Exploras off one switch (the A & B Unicable Outputs), meaning I can get away with using just 2 switches for all 4 Exploras? A DSTV installer I spoke to said this was possible but not reliable, and started babbling on about the interconnects being identical length, etc.
Also, can I use 2 inputs from the 4-way LNB on one switch, and 2 on the other, and still receive full service? My aim is to save space and find the simplest cabling config.
Thanks in advance, Padraigh.
