Remember those rather tired Revox mono PR99s?
Combined parts from both, plus a B77 stereo face I had:
The B77 face was for a 15/16-17/8 IPS machine, but this one is actually 71/2-15 IPS. The orginal PR99 faces didn't have the right holes or legends for a 2 channel machine, hence the need for the B77 face, but I really like the look of the black/silver hybrid.
And the unique headphone level knob, since B77s have two headphone amps and sockets, yet PR99s have only one headphone amp. And I have no need for CALibrated levels.
Conversion to stereo isn't trivial, there was a fair reworking required on the wiring harnesses and inerconnect board. And it got the usual necessities: new capacitors, ball races, EEPROM.
