I know there is speaker sensitivity and other factors that come into play when matching amp to speakers

Some forumites will comment and say certain speakers need a lot of power to perform optimally

I have been reading older topics and came to the following conclusion:

if a speaker recommended amp rating is 150rms , it does not mean you need 150rms amp but you could use a lower rated amp to perform optimally for your room size, example :

- Small Room = +/- 30 rms
- Meduim Room = +/- 60 rms
- Large Room = +/- 90 rms

Is my conclusion correct or I missed the boat completely ?
