I have an Anthem MRX 540 which only has 5.2 with 2 additional pre-outs which can be configured for Atmos and I would like to do this.

Which amplifier can you recommend to drive the 2 in-ceiling speakers? I don't want to spend another 40k just to drive 2 additional speakers, so something simple (5-10k) amp would be fine, unless you think it's a stupid idea?
