apple music high resolution on old Mac

So currently I am using Tidal and would like to try Apple Music with high resolution option but I only have an old Macbook Pro 2012 and updated to version 10.15.7 but it cant be update to latest so that Itunes display "high resolution" option.
Am I stuck with this and have to buy a new mac just for high resolution streaming ?
