I would like to add an active subwoofer to my existing setup. I haven't auditioned any equipment as of yet, but I have a semi-list of candidates. Although I enjoy good sound I can't really call myself a connoisseur or an expert, so any feedback would be most welcome. For example, are there other options that I've overlooked?
Existing setup: Audioengine A2's paired with a 40-inch Sony Bravia
Room: Carpeted, about 4 x 5 metres
Budget: R2000-R2500, with some flexibility
Intended use: Mostly movies, some music
Considering: New or perfectionist-friendly used condition
