So last week, when I powered on the DAC, it looked like it was dead, then after about a minute, display came up with "no Comms".
I read on pinkfishmedia forums that it might be a crystal of some sort, and that this happened to less than 1% of the units sold. I bought this off this forum a while back, and was imported from the UK via Custom Cable, warranty is finished. I did email Custom Cable, they said they can send it in, but I have to ship to them, I am worried that the costs may be more than a new unit off the forums here.
Is there somebody that can maybe look at this? or a local Audiolab dealer that can fix this?
