I don't know if its "Global Warming" or if I'm just getting too old, but the weather isn't great. I often have to use a pedestal fan to feel comfortable while watching TV or listening to music. The trouble is that this fan is about as loud as an airplane taking off, and is significantly diminishing the experience of hifi and sound in general.
So I have decided to spend some money on air conditioning. My only experience with air conditioning is what my employer has so graciously provided in my office. Its a Mitsubishi electric servicing about 20 sq meters.
trouble is... its not exactly quiet. There's no mechanical vibration. Its the sound of airflow. It is still a far cry from that airplane propeller but it would be noticeable in my room.
Can someone recommend a quiet brand and maybe also a reputable installer in the Pretoria east area? The area I want to service is about 150 sq meters at double volume...
