I have always run my DIY system with unbalanced interconnects as I subscribed to the accepted dogma that short distances of single ended cable makes no difference.
For some reason I recently had a hunch to change from single ended input cable to balanced line input whilst remaining with single ended cable output to amp.
With the balanced line input there was an added delicacy to the system that is super nice.
Any experts who can explain the above ?
