Balanced/RCA?

Balanced/RCA, my dac has both balanced and RCA out. Amp only has RCA in, can I make a balanced/RCA cable and use Balanced out on dac? Pros/Cons?..

Jumpers were at -20db factory setting, now set them @ 0db.

Would like to use the better medium to main amp and other to MiniDSP to drive sub.
