Ok, besides the fact that they make connecting up your speakers easy and that it looks good, and the few exceptions where the speaker cable's build makes it very difficult without (eg when the cable is as thick as your thumb or of the solid copper kind).... Are banana plugs or spades REALLY better or even needed?
