I have a Rondo 2000 Amp
Coxail to RCA convertor connecting the TV to the Amp
Bose Acoustimass 3 Series IV speakers
TV is playing Netflix and Showmax direct from the OS (in case this is relevant)
I'm looking to switch my amp at some point mostly because I want to control it with a remote. But I think its sound quality is perfectly fine (my turn table sounds excellent). But based on the above-mentioned thread and my general research, I suspect that a respectable pair of bookshelf speakers would dramatically improve how my TV sounds, as the Bose apparently need levels to be ideal (perhaps with an EQ I could get them to produce good TV sound but money better spent on speaker I think).
So I'm looking for a respectable pair of speakers in the R1k-2k range. My question is, can someone please point me to a specific pair on Takealot that would be worthwhile (how about these https://www.takealot.com/pioneer-sp-bs22lr-bookshelf-speakers/PLID52806596)?
Alternatively, at my budget, am I better off getting a better set second hand? (If anyone has a suitable pair to offload I'm all ears).
