I've gotten a Behringer EP1500 stereo amplifier off a mate of mine in a trade. Too bad the input / pre-amp phase seems to be stukkend, as it doesn't seem to be seeing input signals.
I know it's not considered an audiophile amp by any stretch of the imagination, but they've been bench tested to push around 250w RMS @ 8 Ohms... so it should be plenty powerful for driving my CM7's.
So questions:
Will it perform better with my CM7's than the Marantz SR6007's outputs?
And who can I take it to to get it fixed / serviced? Is it worthwhile getting fixed for that matter? I've read that it's a few transistors that normally need replacement on the input / pre-amp section, and apparently it isn't a major hassle.
Thanks in advance!
