One little cable carries most of my music. It connects my Mede8er to my not inexpensive DAC. In my experience, it has a significant impact on overall audio quality. I've tried the following:
>> Wireworld 6 Starlight
>> LAT International DI-30 Signature
>> Belden 1694A
The Belden was by far the cheapest, and yet it is extremely good, particularly in terms of spaciousness and detail. Unfortunately it doesn't foreground vocals very well, making them part of the music rather than putting them in front of it. If it wasn't for that, my search would have been over.
The Wireworlds are very good with vocals, but upgrading my current Wireworld so I can get more soundstage is going to be expensive. A 0.5m Wireworld 7 Gold Starlight will cost me over R7677 from Importitall.
So here's my question: what's your favourite coax cable for digital audio, and why? I'd like to investigate alternatives now.
