After googling a fair amount and aquiring twe betsy-k's i decided the quarter wave enclosure will be the one for me. I love the simplicity.
At this stage I am hoping to get the enclosure spraypainted as the finish. but first the build and testing part.
The design build is already well documented in this instructable: http://www.instructables.com/id/DIY-Hi-Fi-WiBAQ-Speakers/
I'm going for the screw and glue method.
Will be filling the screw holes and sanding afterwards.
next step is to find stuffing , I need to stuff the upper 2/3 rds of the enclosure with around 800grams of stuffing.
I'll also add 1 or 2 stiffening braces in the middle.
I did however use 22mm mdf , I could have gone for 18mm rather to keep the weight down a bit , but it's too late now.
Anybody can guide me to a cheap place for stuffing in cape town? I need around 1.6kg or what would be the best thing to use?
