Looking for a bit of advice on bi-amping from someone who has experience or technical knowledge of the ins-and-outs of how it works. I have in the past bi-amped speakers with 2 stereo amps, connected with one amp driving each speaker (i.e. left channel for treble, and right for bass) or alternately one amp driving the bass of both speakers and one amp the trebles of both speakers.

What I am considering and what I would like the advice on is this: I have a Rotel 6 channel amp (Rotel RB-976), and knowing that bass reproduction needs more Watts to drive those bigger bass speakers, I am thinking of bridging 2 x 2 channels on the amp, so there would be 4 channels of amplification, 2 channels supplying 60W power output, and the 4 bridged channels making 2 channels capable of 150W each (according to the specs) the 2 x 60W channels would then drive the left and right tweeters and the 2 x 150W channels would drive the woofers. The speakers I am using are Fyne F500's.

Does all of the above sound feasible, with no danger of doing any damage to the speakers? Would the mismatch of power output/input cause imbalance between bass and treble? Should it be an audible improvement over just using 4 channels of the amplifier (i.e. 60W for both treble and bass) and better than not bi-amping?
