I recently purchased a CD from Loot and what I got was a completely black "disc". I really thought that this was some marketing thing and not actually a CD and lodged a return with Loot. After some to and fro with Loot they stated that I must test it. I put it into the CDP expecting it not to play but it did as it would a normal CD.
I've never seen this before. Cd's should be reflective right, so how does this work and does this place any strain on the CD's laser, pickup, error correction, quality ??
I'm hesitant to put this "thing" into a more expensive CDP in case it stuffs it up.
