Long time since I visited this place, I'm hoping to get some recommendations on a bluray player. 

Makro et al stock Samsung, LG for R1k - R1500, but I'm looking for something a little better, I had in mind a R5k budget.  Is that warranted?  Would a R5k machine be much better than a Samsung/LG?  Is there any convincing reason to go up to say R10k?

Any suggestions appreciated.
