My Dynaudio Evoke 20 speakers are 0.8m from the rear wall but sound very boomy.
The wall between the speakers is treated with a foam acoustic panel. The corners are not treated.
Installing the port bungs resolves this at the expense of some bass extension.
Does this suggest that I need to move the speakers even further from the rear wall?
Can the boomy bass be an interaction between the speakers and the Hegel amplifier? ie the Hegels bass doesn’t suit the speakers bass?
I would be surprised as Dynaudio and Hegel are known to partner well.
