I bought a Rotel RA1520 unheard, but turned on. Everything seemed OK. Got it home and hooked up, and found that it has a problem. Seller offered half of the price back, and I accepted.
Everything works as it should, all lights come on etc. It plays very softly, have to turn the volume up all the way, and then the sound is tinny and distorted.
I had a scratch around inside to see what I can see, and removed two lizzard corpses, from power terminals, and a few months of their mess.
Can?t see anything from which the magic smoke has escaped, and all caps look normal.
Any ideas for something obvious to fault check?
