Hi Guys

I would like your opinions please.

I recently got hold of a few ceiling mount speakers, of - to me at least - unknown brand called Quad industrial, model Concourse R6.

I have tested the speakers, and to my *very* untrained ears, they don't sound bad at all. Has possibly a bit more mid-bass balance, as they are geared towards PA systems etc.

Now I am renting at this stage, so I cant put them in the ceiling at all, so was wondering if it would work to box them at all, and if so, how would one figure out what size box to construct, and would sealed or vented work better.

Specs as follows:
Power Handling:
Continuous 50W
Program 100W
Peak 200W
Frequency Response: 40Hz−20kHz (-10dB)
Frequency Response: 70Hz−16kHz (+/-3dB)
Sensitivity (@2.83V): 89dB
Max SPL: 112dB
Coverage (H x V): 140˚ x 110˚
Directivity (DI) (H x V): 6.14
Impedance: 4 & 16Ω
Transducers:
LF Driver Size 6.5" Cone
HF Driver Size 1" Soft Dome Tweeter

There are pdf's available of even more specs and performance graphs here: http://www.quadindustrial.com/Products/CEILING/R6/tabid/81/Default.aspx

I will be powering them with a Pioneer SA-520 (rated at 20W IIRC)

Cheers!
